Its initial model, the Anadol A1 (1966–1975), was the second Turkish car after the Devrim sedan of 1961. Manufactured by Otosan in Istanbul between 1966 and 1991, the Anadol brand originated from the Turkish name for Anatolia (Anadolu) and featured a Hittite stag logo. Seven models were produced: the A1, A2, STC-16, SV-1600, Böcek, A8-16, and Otosan P2 500 pick-up. Passenger car production ceased in 1986, with Otosan continuing to produce Ford vehicles for export, primarily to the European Union. The Anadol A1 was developed with assistance from Reliant and designed by Tom Karen, and became the first Turkish rally car. The Anadol A2 was the first four-door model and fiberglass-bodied sedan in the world. The Anadol P2 500 pick-up, initially developed for light transport needs, became a popular vehicle for the Turkish Post (PTT). The STC-16 was the first Turkish sports car, designed by Eralp Noyan and utilizing components from Ford Escort and Capri. The Böcek, designed for potential military use and anticipating tourism growth, featured a unique open-roof design. Production of the Böcek concluded in 1977.","https:\u002F\u002Fen.wikipedia.org\u002Fwiki\u002FAnadol",{"id":49,"type":50,"modified_on":51,"width":52,"height":52},"efcbc5fc-bbb7-4458-9118-d4e2dd12abd3","image\u002Fpng","2025-05-15T20:46:49.178Z",800,{"id":54,"name":55,"slug":56,"region":57,"latitude":58,"longitude":59,"flag":60},"29ebddae-5d04-4676-ad40-4716ed24399e","Turkey","turkey","europe",39.294076,35.2316631,{"id":61,"type":62,"modified_on":63,"width":43,"height":43},"1a478b0d-2b66-4dd9-bdba-797928d50c48","image\u002Fsvg+xml","2025-05-15T20:27:42.465Z",[65],{"person_id":66},{"id":67,"name":68,"slug":69,"born":70,"deceased":71,"city":72,"region":43,"image":73,"country":77,"founded":79},"1337e55d-56e5-4418-a856-9be2989ae8c4","Vehbi Koç","vehbi-koc","1901-07-20","1996-02-25","Ankara",{"id":74,"type":50,"modified_on":75,"width":76,"height":76},"a975bbaa-fe03-4825-b084-00fc5f8dbc91","2026-04-14T01:03:19.451Z",512,{"id":54,"name":55,"slug":56,"flag":78},{"id":61,"type":62,"modified_on":63,"width":43,"height":43},[80,85],{"make_id":81},{"id":11,"name":39,"slug":12,"founded":40,"defunct":41,"country":82,"emblem":84,"emblem_dark":43},{"id":54,"slug":56,"name":55,"flag":83},{"id":61,"type":62,"modified_on":63,"width":43,"height":43},{"id":49,"type":50,"modified_on":51,"width":52,"height":52},{"make_id":86},{"id":87,"name":88,"slug":89,"founded":90,"defunct":43,"country":91,"emblem":93,"emblem_dark":96},"96fe6569-c983-44c9-af14-624813e503bc","Tofas","tofas",1968,{"id":54,"slug":56,"name":55,"flag":92},{"id":61,"type":62,"modified_on":63,"width":43,"height":43},{"id":94,"type":62,"modified_on":95,"width":52,"height":52},"3e9223aa-dfe5-4093-972e-76b764790f6f","2026-03-22T22:13:22.294Z",{"id":97,"type":62,"modified_on":98,"width":52,"height":52},"133e13c0-8c3e-49c9-9ea6-184980c6b2e8","2026-08-05T07:20:20.199Z",[],[],[],[]]
