Marshall & Company founded the company and initially produced bicycles at their Belsize works. The first automobiles were built in 1897, resembling French Hurtu models and sold under the ‘Marshall’ brand. Agencies were established in London and Dublin, and a 1901 model featured a Buchet twin-cylinder engine. In 1903, the company name changed to Belsize Motors and Engineering. By 1906, it was operating as Belsize Motors Ltd., becoming a major UK motor manufacturer with 1200 employees producing up to 50 vehicles weekly. The company produced a variety of models including taxis, commercial vehicles and fire engines with engines up to 14.5 liters in capacity. After World War I, Belsize Motors adopted a single model policy with the 15 hp engine. In 1921, they introduced the Belsize-Bradshaw with a V-twin engine. This model proved unreliable and was discontinued in 1924. The company then produced a 1250 cc and a 1696 cc model, with the latter featuring overhead valves and a four-speed gearbox. Production ceased in late 1925 after the company was placed under receivership.",null,"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belsize_Motors
"1d6128b5-93e3-428b-8da5-a60a076b5489","image/png","2025-05-16T18:16:50.638Z",800
"b5cdbccf-0bae-4583-83be-50b19ffb2399","United Kingdom","united-kingdom","europe",54.7023545,-3.2765753
"7144a5be-6555-4971-8aef-3f82074ae6d3","image/svg+xml","2025-05-15T20:28:04.189Z",[],[],[],[],[]]
