Bignan","Établissements Industriels J. Bignan, known as Bignan, was a French automobile manufacturer operating from 1918 to 1931. The company was founded by Jacques Bignan, who previously produced bespoke engines. In 1918, he registered the company and began producing automobiles. The initial Bignan model featured a 2,940 cc engine and a 2,860 mm wheelbase. The manufacturer initially offered bare chassis for 30,000 francs and a \"torpedo-bodied\" car for 38,500 francs. Most vehicles produced were tourers. Several Bignan cars served as official vehicles for the 1920 Tour de France. In 1922, two new models were introduced: a 2-litre engine and a Salmson AL3 badge-engineered version. The 11CV model featured a four-speed gearbox and servo-assisted brakes, with a competition version developing 70 bhp due to desmodromic valves. Only two competition models were built, achieving success at Spa-Francorchamps. The company ceased operations in 1931 after being taken over by Société La Cigogne.","https:\u002F\u002Fen.wikipedia.org\u002Fwiki\u002FBignan_(automobile)",{"id":20,"type":21,"modified_on":22,"width":23,"height":23},"b8b7b2ac-653d-4544-9f25-0110c092adbb","image\u002Fpng","2025-05-16T18:17:31.596Z",800,{"id":25,"name":26,"slug":27,"region":28,"latitude":29,"longitude":30,"flag":31},"19aea675-c2bf-488a-bb7e-019068edb7a6","France","france","europe",46.603354,1.8883335,{"id":32,"type":33,"modified_on":34,"width":12,"height":12},"a75e7d8f-5fe3-4cca-b8ae-92127e7d576b","image\u002Fsvg+xml","2025-05-15T20:24:26.246Z",[36],{"person_id":37},{"id":38,"name":39,"slug":40,"born":41,"deceased":42,"city":43,"region":12,"image":44,"country":48,"founded":50},"c68f9e6b-85af-4cd2-b905-936b20dc1877","Jacques Bignan","jacques-bignan","1888-06-21","1973-09-19","Versailles",{"id":45,"type":21,"modified_on":46,"width":47,"height":47},"6209452c-77cc-491e-a849-5c05421aabde","2026-03-23T22:13:31.888Z",512,{"id":25,"name":26,"slug":27,"flag":49},{"id":32,"type":33,"modified_on":34,"width":12,"height":12},[51],{"make_id":52},{"id":6,"name":8,"slug":7,"founded":9,"defunct":10,"country":53,"emblem":55,"emblem_dark":12},{"id":25,"slug":27,"name":26,"flag":54},{"id":32,"type":33,"modified_on":34,"width":12,"height":12},{"id":20,"type":21,"modified_on":22,"width":23,"height":23},[],[],[],[],{"meta":61,"data":64},{"total_count":62,"filter_count":63},98756,0,[]]
