He collaborated with music producer Giorgio Moroder on the company’s development. The initial project was based in Modena, Italy. Cizeta built a single model, the Cizeta-Moroder V16T, featuring a sixteen-cylinder engine. Marcello Gandini designed the car’s body, which was similar to the later Lamborghini Diablo. The prototype carried the \"Cizeta-Moroder\" badge, but subsequent cars were badged simply as \"Cizeta V16T.\" Eight vehicles were produced before the company relocated to Fountain Valley, California in 1995. Three additional vehicles were completed in 1999 and 2003.\n\nFollowing the company’s bankruptcy in Italy, Claudio Zampolli relocated to the United States. He established Cizeta Automobili USA and continued to build the V16T on demand. In 2009, a Cizeta was seized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
