Later, the hybrid version was postponed in favor of a conventionally powered Type D Syracuse to raise funds. In 2008, the company faced difficulties securing additional investment during the financial crisis and was dissolved in 2016. In 2020, Bevan Davidson International (BDI) acquired the company.
