Initially, it operated as Steyr Hellas S.A., assembling trucks, motorbikes, and farm tractors based on designs from Steyr and Puch. The company shifted its focus to military vehicles in the 1980s, producing trucks and buses for the Greek Army. ELVO developed its first original designs in 1980 and 1981, including a 3-tonne truck and a military bus chassis. In 1987, it introduced the Leonidas Armored Personnel Carrier, a modified Steyr model. The company produced military and civilian trucks, engines, and buses for export, often utilizing imported chassis for bus construction. In 1998, ELVO introduced the Kentaurus, an Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle of its own design. The company was partially privatized in 2000 when Mytilineos acquired a stake and assumed management. Financial difficulties led to state control of the company in 2010, followed by a receivership petition in 2014. In 2015, the dissolution process was frozen while the Greek government sought a private buyer. In 2019, an international tender was launched for the sale of ELVO’s assets. In 2021, an Israeli consortium acquired the company, with plans to produce military and civilian vehicles for Greece and Europe. SK Group completed its acquisition in 2025.","https://elvo.gr","https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellenic_Vehicle_Industry","https://www.linkedin.com/company/elvo-hellenic-vehicle-industry/
"9ecb7d48-a065-4733-bf47-2c9489e39af2","image/png","2025-05-16T21:18:17.093Z",800
"8fac067e-bea7-4ad2-8ab5-394e1fc06cc3","Greece","greece","europe",38.9953683,21.9877132
"a83a26b6-0a0f-423e-b802-72192d633ef2","image/svg+xml","2025-05-15T20:24:36.288Z",[],[],[],[],[46
"4fef40f5-c232-4641-b3d8-3b3fbc5c4a4c","Steyr","steyr",1915,1926,48.0390046,14.4191276
"02ddcd51-2a40-4677-a7a3-ecf08a66f4be","2026-03-22T22:11:55.212Z
"ad2ad9d6-399c-46e5-ab95-ba889f255689","2026-03-25T02:22:04.524Z
"758a7258-c405-49da-85a8-793ce715eff4","Austria","austria",47.59397,14.12456
"b45cf9ca-8cd9-40e3-a82b-b5937750e642","2025-05-15T20:23:22.049Z"]
