Production of the Facellia, intended to compete with European sports cars, faced significant mechanical issues and ultimately led to its discontinuation. The Facel Vega II, introduced in 1962, represented a more successful design shift. Despite its limited production and financial difficulties, Facel Vega vehicles were owned by prominent figures including Pablo Picasso and Ava Gardner.
