In 2003, a cooperation occurred with Hebei's Zhongxing Automobile, followed by the takeover and name change to Jiangxi Huaxiang Fuqi Automobile Co. Ltd., with Ningbo Huaxiang Group taking over the company. In 2013, Jiangling Motors Corporation Group reorganized Fuqi and established JMCG Light Vehicle Co. Ltd.
