The company then designed and built a new spaceframe chassis in Eastleigh, England, with assistance from Bertone in Italy. Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the steel body for the car, which featured a distinctive headlight arrangement. Production began in 1960, with an initial prototype built quickly by Gruppo Bertone. Chevrolet agreed to supply engines and gearboxes for a planned production run.  \n\nThe company went into liquidation in 1967 after selling approximately 90 cars at a low price. Harold Smith and Geoffrey West purchased the company in 1965, restarting production briefly until 1966. A total of 100 cars were produced, with a final example made in 1967.
