Initially, the company produced tuning kits for European cars, including dual throat carburetors and exhaust systems. In 1960, it began building a small aluminum-bodied coupe based on the Puch 500 engine. Later, Intermeccanica developed and produced vehicles such as the Apollo GT (1961-1965), a steel body built for International Motor Cars, and the Italia (1966-1972), a larger GT sports car. In 1965, the company moved to Santa Ana, California, and began building replica cars like the Porsche 356 Speedster (1976-1979) and Checker Taxi. Intermeccanica then developed the Indra (1969-1974), a car built in cooperation with Opel, and the Lexington (1979-1980). Production of the Roadster RS began in 1981, with operations moving to Vancouver, Canada. In 2017, Intermeccanica became a subsidiary of ElectraMeccanica and continues to manufacture the Roadster, Speedster, and Kubelwagen.","https:\u002F\u002Fen.wikipedia.org\u002Fwiki\u002FIntermeccanica",{"id":30,"type":31,"modified_on":32,"width":33,"height":33},"4b9bbea7-dc77-437f-bbf0-55a8a9c5a080","image\u002Fpng","2025-05-16T21:45:42.264Z",800,{"id":35,"name":36,"slug":37,"region":38,"latitude":39,"longitude":40,"flag":41},"75193b00-4745-4799-8d50-0445142d87fd","Canada","canada","north_america",61.0666922,-107.991707,{"id":42,"type":43,"modified_on":44,"width":26,"height":26},"a57cb55d-d9fb-4614-a1d9-1891e9aa1a5a","image\u002Fsvg+xml","2025-05-15T20:23:44.478Z",[46],{"person_id":47},{"id":48,"name":49,"slug":50,"born":51,"deceased":52,"city":53,"region":26,"image":54,"country":58,"founded":65},"eb067f7e-3f9d-4bcf-9d04-fb9584bf11a5","Frank Reisner","frank-reisner","1932-02-15","2001-10-01","Gyula",{"id":55,"type":31,"modified_on":56,"width":57,"height":57},"976a6312-0207-46fd-8653-114ae1ea7795","2026-03-20T16:31:34.714Z",512,{"id":59,"name":60,"slug":61,"flag":62},"463b3db5-f4ba-4555-af81-6f5222a4e111","Hungary","hungary",{"id":63,"type":43,"modified_on":64,"width":26,"height":26},"d9cb9f8a-e0b6-49db-92f1-f5826ee03bc9","2025-05-15T20:24:47.806Z",[66],{"make_id":67},{"id":11,"name":19,"slug":12,"founded":20,"defunct":21,"country":68,"emblem":70,"emblem_dark":26},{"id":35,"slug":37,"name":36,"flag":69},{"id":42,"type":43,"modified_on":44,"width":26,"height":26},{"id":30,"type":31,"modified_on":32,"width":33,"height":33},[],[],[],[]]
