In 1905, Standard Wheel sold Overland to David M. Parry, who moved production to Indianapolis and began manufacturing two models. Production numbers fluctuated due to relocation and financial difficulties, including a bankruptcy for Parry in 1907. J. N. Willys acquired control of the company in 1908 and significantly increased production to 467 vehicles. By 1909, Overland became a leading U.S. automobile manufacturer with production reaching 4,907 units. The company moved its operations to Toledo, Ohio, in 1909. In 1912, the company was renamed Willys-Overland Company.
