Initially, the company produced GRP fairings for motorcycles and cars. In 1955, it began manufacturing the Manxcar, a microcar, and later developed other models including the P-1000 4-wheeled microcar and the P50. The company produced fiberglass boats under the name West Marine Ltd., specifically small fishing boats with outboard motors. In 1964, the company was renamed Peel Engineering Limited and subsequently dissolved in 1974. Following its dissolution, the name was revived by British entrepreneurs who began rebuilding the P50 in 2010, incorporating an electric motor and reverse gear.
