The S-3A used a 346 cc engine, producing 10 horsepower, while the S-3D utilized an 18 hp IZH-P3 engine. The vehicles were leased to disabled individuals for a maximum of five years, with the option to register them as private property. Later, disabled drivers increasingly preferred conventional cars like the Zaporozhets and VAZ-1111 ‘Oka’ for their accessibility.
