Production of the M12 ceased in 1996 due to financial difficulties and legal disputes. Following MegaTech’s sale of Lamborghini, Wiegert regained control of the company and rebranded it as Vector Motors. In 2006, Wiegert began development of the WX-8 prototype, a hypercar with projected specifications including 1,850 horsepower and a top speed of 275 mph.
