B.J. Penn is a former mixed martial artist who achieved success in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and K-1. He holds titles as UFC Lightweight Champion and UFC Welterweight Champion, becoming only the second fighter to win championships in multiple weight classes. Penn began his career as a World Jiu-Jitsu Champion at black belt level, and later became an inaugural inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame.
