Roy Jones Jr. is an American former professional boxer who achieved success across multiple weight divisions throughout his career. He earned a silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics as an amateur, and subsequently held world championships in middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight. Jones continued his boxing career professionally from 1989 to 2018, returning for a brief comeback in 2023. Beyond boxing, he has also pursued careers as a singer, actor, and journalist.
